From Nashville take I-24 East, from Chattanooga take I-24 West. We are a 1˝-hour drive from Nashville and are in the same time zone (Central). We are a 1-hour drive from Chattanooga, but are in a different time zone (Chattanooga is on Eastern Time – if you leave Chattanooga at 9 EST, you will arrive at SAS at 9 a.m. CST)

Whether coming from Nashville or Chattanooga, you can tell that you are getting close as you ascend the Mountain. On top of the Mountain, take Exit 134 (Sewanee/Monteagle Exit). At the end of the exit ramp, turn left onto 41A and travel approximately 3 miles. You will come to the yellow blinking caution light at our front entrance. Turn right. The first building on the right is the Chapel. The second building is Langford Hall, home to the Administrative Offices, including the Admissions Office which is on the second floor. The visitors' parking area is just beyond Langford. College representatives should continue along the drive to the large parking area adjacent to Bishop Bratton Hall.

By Air

Chattanooga, Nashville and Huntsville all have commercial airports. Nashville is a Southwest Airlines hub. Atlanta has many direct international flights. Groome Transportation (800-896-9928, 423-954-1400) offers convenient transportation between nearby Monteagle and the Nashville and Atlanta airports with ten runs each day. SAS can provide transportation from Monteagle to our campus. Sewanee also maintains its own airport for smaller planes.
