Kiln Building Simplified

Course Description
Have you ever been curious about what is involved in building a kiln? If the thought of building your own kiln seems overwhelming or beyond your abilities, this class is for you. We will spend the first part of the session in the studio making pots as we discuss kilns designs, different types of fuels, and the effects the various types of kilns are capable of producing. From there, we will go on site and construct a kiln. While we are building the kiln, we will have more detailed talks about proper construction techniques as well as some pitfalls to avoid or be aware of for your own kiln project.
