Dillon to Join SAS as CFOO

St. Andrew’s-Sewanee School recently announced that Jennifer Dillon '82 will join the school as Chief Financial and Operations Officer (CFOO) in mid-July. This is a new position that combines the positions of Chief Financial Officer and Director of Physical Plant.

Dillon, who attended SAS parent schools St. Andrew’s School for a year and Sewanee Academy for three years, is a seasoned accounting and operations executive with a passion for small business and educational not-for-profit organizations. She is strategic-minded and has a proven track record of establishing necessary policies and procedures to enhance compliance and productivity.

Dillon is currently CFOO at the Highlands School, a pre-K through grade 8 school in Birmingham, Ala. At Highlands School, Ms. Dillon oversees finance, human resources, facilities, food service, transportation, administrative support team, risk management, legal support activities, information technology, development, and marketing. She was previously Director of Finance and Operations of the Congressional School in Falls Church, Virg., and Powhatan School in Boyce, Virg. and worked in private industry as a CPA, controller, and accountant.

Dillon holds an AA in Accounting from New River Community College and a BA in Public Relations from Otterbein College. She is also licensed as a CPA in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the State of Alabama.

Dillon succeeds CFO Sarah Lodge who will retire at the end of this fiscal year and former Director of Physical Plant Karen Singer who accepted the position of Vice President for Facilities Management at the University of the South early this year. She will join the SAS community on July 13, 2020.
