"I love St. Andrews Sewanee. I lived in Baltimore. I was surrounded by violence, and it wasn’t the best learning environment. When I came to board here I didn’t know what to expect, I was scared. I was afraid of stepping out of my comfort zone. Making the jump of coming here changed me tremendously. I now know what it is like to live and learn in a safe environment. I feel prepared for college. I’ve learned independence, social skills, and time management. As a student athlete here I was able to balance school work, applying for colleges, friendships, and sports. I’ve learned everything that I need to take forward with me in life. I am forever grateful for the opportunity.
