Admission

For the first time, my daughter is taking classes that are catered to her needs, ability, and curiosity from teachers who have and take the time to make sure she feels important.  She is being challenged, is meeting those challenges, and is building not just knowledge, but confidence in herself and her potential.

Like every conversation a parent has with their children, the first question is, “How are you?”  My daughter’s response every time is an enthusiastic, “Great!”

Get started!

1. Think you might be interested? Give us some info, and we'll design an admission experience as unique as your child.

2. Like what you see? Come visit.

The best possible way to find out what life is like here at SAS is to visit our campus. Our fall Admission Open House and Shadow Days have past, but we can schedule a personalized visit and tour at your convenience. Contact our Admission Office (931.463.2116) to arrange everything.

During your visit you will meet with our admission staff, speak with students and faculty, and tour our academic, athletic, and residential facilities. Our tours are designed to give you a student's perspective on life at SAS and a more understanding of why "You belong here". During the interview, the admission staff will spend time carefully getting to know your specific interests and activities and how SAS can best serve these needs. In the meantime, we encourage you to explore this site, starting with Our Mission Statement

Can't make it to campus? Meet us on the road as we travel to school fairs around the world or schedule a Zoom visit.

3. Ready to take the plunge? Go ahead and apply.

We don't believe in making people nervous just for the fun of it. We'll review your application when we receive it and get back to you just as soon as we know that SAS is the right place for you.

New 5-Day Boarding!

St. Andrew’s-Sewanee school introduces a 5-day boarding option for students within a 90 mile radius of Sewanee, TN with transportation options available on Fridays and Sundays. Our 5-day boarding option is designed for families who may be less familiar with a boarding school experience.

A 5-day boarding student escapes the hustle and bustle around transportation issues during the week, gaining those lost hours back. With more time during the week, a 5-day boarder leads a balanced school life, enjoying the peace and quiet of our pastoral 550 acre campus. SAS provides the opportunity for students to pursue excellence in the classroom, in athletics, in the arts studio, on the stage, in music, and in our top-notch outdoor program including competitive mountain biking and rock climbing. Being only 90 miles away offers families easy access to enjoy and be a part of their student’s SAS experience.

To schedule a visit or receive more information, contact the St. Andrew’s-Sewanee Admission Office at admission@sasweb.org or 931-463-2116.

The Path
by Caleb Simmons '22

A road of orange and tan,
Highlighted by green and gray,
It’s a beautiful walk,
Just not during a rainy day.

There’s a place of study to the north,
Athletes and Acting to the south,
And everyday I go back and forth,
Stopping only in between to feed my mouth.

Now there’s a message to send
To all who are interested,
About which school to attend,
And I’ll tell ya,
Along that path you’ll win.

You can learn what you desire,
It can be writing or science,
Like the physics of fire,
Or maybe History and Art,
Like being in a play,
And acting as an important part.

You can swim, run, and jump,
Even throw, takedown, or ride,
But we all work together,
Building talent, strategy, and pride
We’re all each one piece of a whole
And yet we take it in stride.

The Path doesn’t bring everyone,
But for all this school holds dear,
The one message we send,
Is that “You Belong Here”.
