Summer Reading
At SAS, the purpose of summer reading is to:
- Help our students become better readers and writers,
- Encourage the habit of reading for enjoyment,
- Model life-long learning,
- Connect students to their school-year learning experiences,
- Develop students’ interests, to foster empathy, and
- Expand perspective.
Students in grades 6-12 will read two books: a grade level book and a SAS book club selection.
