Texas Christian University

Texas Christian has received a lot of notoriety over the past few years because of its football team, but it deserves your attention for many more important reasons. This school of about 8,500 undergraduates has a lovely residential campus of 277 acres not far from the shops and restaurants of Fort Worth. Affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), TCU's atmosphere "is not overtly religious" (Fiske Guide) and probably feels somewhat like SAS. Notable programs include nursing, finance, communications, theatre, dance, business, and education. Students in the Neeley School of Business manage one of the largest student run investment funds in the nation ($1.5 million). This mid-sized university in Dallas-Fort Worth area deserves your serious consideration. To be competitive, your grades should be in the high 80's or better. Athletics: D-I
