Students Earn Gold in National Spanish Exam

Freshman Cooper Nickels and Senior Ruth Swallow received Gold recognition in the 2014 National Spanish Examination. Their classmates earned an additional two silvers, six bronzes, and 17 honorable mentions.

Spanish students from St. Andrews-Sewanee School attained national recognition for excellent performance on the 2014 National Spanish Examinations. Students from SAS earned a total of two gold, two silver, and six bronze medals along with 17 honorable mentions. Students from St. Andrews-Sewanee School have a long history of high achievement on these exams thanks to the outstanding instruction of Spanish teachers Claudia and Steve Rinck

The National Spanish Examinations are administered each year in grades 6 through 12. They are sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese.
