The 37 members of the St. Andrew’s-Sewanee School Class of 2019 were welcomed to the SAS Alumni Association on Friday, May 3 during what is referred to as the "Senior Mugging," so named because each senior receives a mug with the names of all the members of the class on it as a gift from the Alumni Association.
This year's speaker was Dean of Students Laura Clay who told the seniors, "Our biggest dreams and most desired goals might just take a little more time to achieve than we want. A symphony, sweet seniors, is written one note at a time." She then led the seniors in a chorus of “God Be With You Till We Meet Again,” the traditional hymn of departure at SAS. Dean Clay’s full talk is available on the school's Youtube Channel.
The Class of 2019 graduates on Sunday, May 19 following a weekend of year-end celebrations.
