Capital Campaigns
Periodically, St. Andrew’s-Sewanee School seeks funding for projects beyond normal operations. Past campaigns have funded new facilities, facility renovations and enhancements, and additions to the school's endowment funds.
In October 2017, the Board of Trustees approved a comprehensive campus master plan looking at all facilities, programs, and land use. This plan will provide a road map for campus development and funding for decades to come.
St. Andrew's Chapel
In recent years, the school raised $2.2 million to renovate St. Andrew's Chapel and to endow the maintenance of this historic building in perpetuity. In addition, areas of campus physical plant stewardship and security were addressed. Today, St. Andrew’s Chapel stands as a testament to the generosity of its many benefactors.
The Wade Initiatives
In 2012, the school completed a $10.3 million campaign to honor the retirement of the Rev. Bill Wade, longtime Head of School. Collectively known as The Wade Initiatives, the campaign included construction of a Wade Hall for the Sciences, an LEED Gold-Certified science building, and endowment for financial aid/scholarship. The maintenance and upkeep of Wade Hall was endowed to ensure its viability for current and future generations of students. Also included in this effort was the construction of McCrory Hall for the Performing Arts, renovation of the Agee Library, and additional endowment for the physical plant.
