The 2017-2018 year began with a record crowd in Sewanee and lovely support for alumnae and artist Elliott Puckette '85 for her gallery opening in Charlotte. In addition to hosting Alumni Weekend and the 8th Annual Work Weekend, the Alumni Council continues to support alumni clubs, which have met in Western N.C., Mobile, Ala., Columbia, S.C., New York, Knoxville, and Washington, D.C. Council member Leslie Muir ’91 said, “Wherever two or more are gathered, let there be an alumni club! Clubs are for all alumni as it is the heritage we share from the Mountain and our time there that connects us, no matter the specific school.” If you are interested in forming an alumni group in your area, please contact the Alumni Office.
St. Andrew's-Sewanee offers a wide range of events for alumni to reconnect with friends and classmates as well as with the school. Alumni Weekend is held the first weekend in June each year and it brings hundreds of alumni and guests to campus for reunions, celebrations, parties, tours and summertime events. Our regional events for alumni and friends combined with Alumni Council area club gatherings create various and diverse opportunities for fellowship between alumni and other members of the SAS community, such as friends of the school, parents, grandparents, and former faculty and staff.
