To the St. Andrews-Sewanee School Community and Friends,
Recently the Head of School Search Committee conducted personal interviews with an impressive group of semi-finalists that included current school Heads, Assistant Heads, and senior administrators, all very experienced in fundraising, admissions, and boarding school environments, as well as being passionate about education and working with young people.
We are working toward announcing our finalists in the near future and planning the candidates' visits to campus with their spouses beginning mid-September. At that time, our parents, students, and faculty will be able to meet the final candidates.
The Search Committee is doing an exemplary job of performing the due diligence involved in conducting a thorough, open, and highly confidential search. We are guided by the importance of finding a Head of School who not only has deep respect for our school's Episcopal heritage and traditions, but one who has been deeply and profoundly shaped by the Episcopal Church. We are grateful that our search process is moving along so well.
Please continue to remember this important work in your prayers.
Chair, SAS Head of School Search Committee
