Contributions to the SAS Fund have improved my teaching by allowing me to participate in exciting and challenging professional development opportunities. This past summer I was able to take an online course in computer programming. During 10 weeks I worked steadily to write programs and learn the basics of the Python computer language. This fall, I will teach Introduction to Coding, a one-semester elective. This course is a response to increasing student interest and SAS's own strategic vision, but it would have never happened without the SAS Fund and those who generously support it. Those contributions have made the difference between wanting to offer this course and making it a reality.
