St. Andrew's-Sewanee School recently named a dozen students to be Proctors for the 2018-2019 school year.
To be a Proctor at St. Andrew's-Sewanee School is the most coveted of all SAS leadership opportunities. Chosen in the spring of their junior year by a rigorous application, interview, and election process, the Proctors serve through their senior year, offering support in the school's residential houses and during evenings and weekends. Proctors receive leadership training and engage in activities designed to strengthen the group's connections to one another. They help to plan and execute weekend activities, monitor the Owen Student Union on the weekends, assist the Teacher-in-Charge with student checkouts, supervise students studying in Simmonds Hall on weeknights, and run the new student retreat.
The following juniors have been chosen to serve as Proctors for the 2018-2019 school year: Kathryn Bridgers (Sylva, NC), Kate Butler (Sewanee, TN), Sophia Hartman (Sewanee, TN), Larson Heitzenrater (Sewanee, TN), Sarah Jane Kemmer (Centreville, AL), Alexander Milford (Bentonville, AR), Sophia Patterson (Sewanee, TN), Randy Paul (Nassau, Bahamas), Reagan Rhoton (Winchester, TN), Bella Sun (Shanghai, China), Jalen Tillman (Parkville, MD), and Seth Walker (Monteagle, TN).
