Students elected to the 2018-2019 Honor Council were recently announced at St. Andrew's-Sewanee School. The Honor Council is a select student-faculty committee that reviews disciplinary infractions. Membership is determined by faculty nomination and an interview with the Academic Dean.
The 2018-2019 Honor Council members will be: Sophia Hartman (Sewanee, TN), Sophia Patterson (Sewanee, TN), Seth Walker (Monteagle, TN), Kathryn Bridgers (Sylva, NC), Sarah Jane Kemmer (Centreville, AL), Ryan Val (Tracy City, TN), Lucy Carroll (Sewanee, TN), Harrison Hartman (Sewanee, TN), Saje Mangru (Winchester, TN), Aidan Smith (Sewanee, TN), Jaiying Yang (Dalian, China), Srah Grace Burns (Sewanee, TN), and Hannah Warmbrod (Belvidere, TN).
SAS students develop leadership skills through clubs, class activities, sports, and participation in student/faculty committees. Being selected to serve as a Proctor, an SAS Ambassador, or a member of the Honor Council is regarded as one of the highest forms of recognition a student may earn.
