St. Andrew's-Sewanee School began classes on Monday, August 20 with 250 students from across the country and around the world. The school welcomed 79 news students to campus in grades 6-12.
This year's student body represents 13 countries, including the Bahamas, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Czech Republic, Germany, Dominica, Spain, Jamaica, Kenya, Rwanda, Somaliland, and Vietnam. Domestic students come from 17 states from Nevada to New York to Florida.
This year's enrollment includes 73 students in the Middle School and 177 students in the Upper School. Eighty-two students live in the residential houses on campus. They are supervised by 28 residential faculty and staff members.
St. Andrew's-Sewanee School is a private, co-educational, Episcopal, boarding and day college preparatory school. The school challenges students to fulfill their greatest potential while helping them to cultivate lives of balance and joy. SAS offers excellent teaching that values depth over breadth, inspires curiosity, and provides students with personal attention and feedback. Located on 550 beautiful acres, students enjoy considerable time outdoors in academic, athletic, and recreational activities. The student body also meets together three times a week for worship and all-school presentations and announcements.
