At St. Andrew's-Sewanee School, outstanding juniors and seniors are encouraged to take college courses for credit at the University of the South, one of the country's top liberal arts colleges. Thanks to a longstanding agreement between SAS and the University, SAS students can enroll in college classes for free. Transportation to the university is provided for students throughout the day. This semester thirteen SAS students are taking 15 college courses in German, Arabic, Economics, Mathematics, Religion, Government, and French.
SAS students learn to hold their own and excel in a college setting with college-aged classmates. Students also learn to balance a college course workload and to communicate with college professors before getting to college. Twenty percent of the Class of 2018 graduated with college credit.
