On Monday, May 6 at 6:30 p.m., our eighth graders will deliver their "This I Believe" presentations in McCrory Hall for the Performing Arts. All Middle School students are expected to attend. Eighth graders should be in formal dress (as defined by the handbook). The public is welcome.
In the 1950s, journalist Edward R. Murrow's "This I Believe" radio program allowed Americans to hear well-known public figures discuss the values that guided their lives. Loosely based on this broadcast, the SAS "This I Believe" presentations are the culmination of work conducted during the advisory period. Each eighth grader will present the values they have come to believe in based on their own experiences.
Following the presentations, there will be a reception in the Simmonds Building. Middle School students' artwork and IDE8 projects will be on display in the front hall and the studios. Graffiti Gallery 2019 will be on exhibition in the Gallery.
