University HQ: A great source of scholarship money for families looking for college funds may be their own employer(s). Many companies offer scholarships for their employees or their children, but it may not be common knowledge. It pays, literally and figuratively, for parents to take the time and ask their human resources liaison if such scholarships exist. This is especially true if you work for a larger corporation or a more established company.
Scholly. A better way. Imagine growing up in deep poverty during a national recession in a single parent household. You have limited access to computers, no access to internet at home but have the desire to go to college. This was the story of Christopher Gray; a high school junior growing up in Birmingham, Alabama. Chris knew he wanted to achieve opportunities beyond his circumstances and with his mother unemployed, he knew that it would be a tough road ahead.
Kurtz & Blum Scholarship Essay Contest. The law firm of Kurtz & Blum deeply values the role that higher education plays in helping young people to achieve their career goals and become responsible citizens. That is why we will award two scholarships worth a combined $1,500 to current and prospective college students from anywhere in the United States who write the winning essays in our Fall 2018 Scholarship Essay Contest.
SACAC Horizon Award. In 2019 The Horizon Award will be awarded to five high school students in the amount of $1,000 for one-time use. As a matching award, a college counselor or Community Based Organization advisor who has been nominated by the chosen students will receive $1,000 to be used towards professional development opportunities, such as conference registration fees, annual membership dues for SACAC, or fees associated with participation in any SACAC- or NACAC-related event.
Blake McMeans Scholarship & Foundation. Student must have heard Blake speak at their high school. Blake spoke at SAS on September 14, 2018. A complete application and additional information can be found on Blake's website. Applicants must have a demonstrated record of community service and leadership.
Questbridge. Questbridge believes that students deserve to reach their highest academic potential regardless of financial background.
2019 Prudential Spirit of Community Award. Now in it's 24th year, this program, sponsored by Prudential Financial provides an opportunity to celebrate young volunteers. Scholarships range from $1,000 - $5,000 and a possible trip to Washington, D.C. for finalists. DEADLINE IS NOVEMBER 6, 2018.
American Legion Oratorical Contest. By writing and presenting an original speech focusing on the United States Constitution, competitors can earn scholarships ranging from $1,000 - $18,000.
National Co-Op Scholarship Program. As the largest independently sponsored merit co-op scholarship program in the United States, WACE will award up to 160 merit co-op scholarships for a total value of $4,200,000. These merit co-op scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors and transfer students who plan to participate in college cooperative education at one of our Partner Institutions.

The National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators is the professional organization for the people at colleges and universities who handle financial aid.
Raise.Me is a charitably funded organization where students can earn guaranteed scholarships from 250+ colleges as early as 9th grade, making it easier to plan financially for school. Funders of Raise.me include the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and Facebook’s charitable giving. National youth organizations partnering with Raise.me include the National Speech & Debate Association, College Summit, Close Up Foundation, and VolunTEEN Nation, among others. Starting in 9th grade, students can be eligible to start earning scholarships for their achievements in and out of the classroom, like getting good grades, having perfect attendance, leadership roles, participating in sports & clubs, community service, test scores, and more.
