COMPENSATION:
This is a full-time, academic-year position. Salary is dependent on education and experience. Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide sports injury coverage at high school events. This coverage includes on-field/off-field and pre-/post-game care.
- Assist with the treatment of athletes and orthopedic injuries as directed by a physical therapist.
- Provide consultation to coaches, athletes, school nurses, parents, and others, as needed.
- Maintain daily records of treatments and progress notes on patients.
- Train and supervise student athletic trainers.
- Conduct athletic training/sports medicine workshops, as requested.

Knowledge/Experience Requirements & Qualifications:
- Current athletic training license in Tennessee.
- Current certification by and in good standing with the National Athletic Trainer's Association.
- Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Minimum of one (1) year clinical athletic training experience.
- Minimum of one (1) year of practical athletic training experience at the high school, collegiate, or professional level.
- Demonstrated competency in applying the principles, methods, materials, and equipment used in athletic training.

Staff Opportunities
St. Andrew’s-Sewanee School seeks a dedicated, hard-working full-time hourly Facilities Team Member.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under general supervision, performs a variety of general and preventive maintenance duties which include
electrical, mechanical, carpentry, plumbing and construction in the maintenance and repair of school facilities
and equipment.
Responds to work orders in a timely manner and coordinates repairs
General remodeling work (carpentry, flooring, patching and painting)
Basic custodial duties including trash removal
Noting and troubleshooting safety hazards
Event set-ups and tear downs
Assist with moving, loading, unloading and storing supplies, furniture and equipment

Administrative Opportunities
The Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage and cultivate relationships with alumni of all St. Andrew’s-Sewanee’s heritage schools. This position will help advance the school’s mission by coordinating alumni initiatives, cultivating community partnerships and events that support advancement priorities.
This position will work closely with the Chief Development Officer, Assistant Director of Advancement and Advancement Services Coordinator and will report directly to the Chief Development Officer.
Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement Responsibilities
1. Develop and execute a comprehensive alumni relations program that effectively engages and cultivates relationships with alumni.
2. Plan and coordinate a variety of events and activities, such as alumni reunions, networking events, and regional alumni gatherings, to foster connections among alumni and between alumni and the school.
3. In coordination with Advancement Services Coordinator, maintain an accurate and up-to-date alumni database, ensuring that contact information, employment details, and other relevant data are properly recorded.
4. Create and distribute regular communications, such as newsletters and email updates, to keep alumni informed about news, events, and opportunities related to the organization.
5. Develop and implement strategies to solicit alumni support, including Day of Giving, volunteering, mentoring, and encouraging alumni financial contributions.
6. Manage the alumni relations budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to support engagement activities and initiatives.
Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement Required Skills
1. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to connect and communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals, including alumni, staff, faculty, and volunteers.
2. Strong event planning and project management skills and be able to coordinate multiple events and initiatives simultaneously within given timelines and budgets.

Required Qualifications

2. At least 5 years of experience in alumni relations, fundraising, or related fields, with a track record of success in developing and executing strategic initiatives.
3. Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing volunteers and committees.
4. Knowledge of education or nonprofit environments, including an understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in engaging alumni within these contexts.
5. Familiarity with alumni relations software such as Raiser's Edge.
6. Ability to travel and work evenings and weekends as necessary for events and activities.

Job Summary: The head coach is responsible for planning, managing, leading and evaluating an education-based athletic program that seeks to develop athletes' traits of integrity, respect, grit, and kindness. The head coach must have a positive effect on the physical, social, and emotional development of student athletes. The head coach should be a teacher, achiever, self starter, problem solver, and flexible. This is a part-time position.
Characteristics of an effective coach: Demonstrates a high degree of respect, positivity, trust, discipline, integrity, work ethic, and dedication.
Qualifications:
- Educator preferred.
- Previous coaching experience, preferably in an education based athletic program.
- Playing experience is preferred.
- Previous participation in Inside Out Coaching or Positive Coaching Alliance preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Accept and implement the education-based philosophy at all levels of the program.
- Abide by the responsibilities outlined in the SAS Coaches’ Handbook.
- Attend all meetings related to the program.
- Engage in clear communication with parents, players, and media.
- Oversee the scheduling of the contests and update the schedule and game outcomes on our website.
- Maintain a budget and submit expenses for travel and officials on a timely basis.
- Inspect and maintain inventory of all equipment and uniforms.
- Take daily attendance and provide supervision for athletes at all times.
- Support SAS athletics by encouraging athletes to play other sports and attend other SAS sporting events.
Evaluation: Head coaches will be evaluated annually by the Athletic Director.
Basketball positions start Nov. 3 and end Feb. 15.
